“Secure The Boundaries” (Islands In The Sea – series)

Task one I find in this new land,
Is boundary-fixing – where I’ll stand
Can be a pain if there are holes
Along the fence-line – scoring goals –

Depends on fixing up my fence;
It’s not so much for my defense,
As keeping game within its bounds,
Like hockey-boards, or soccer-grounds.

But as I look at what will be,
The question ’rises – size for me –
“How much”, that story asked of us,
“Land’s needed – without undue fuss?”

A “3-foot circle” comes to mind –
Quite small, indeed, so not a grind;
But principles can focus be,
On this new island in the sea.

Oh Holy Spirit, I’d not thought
Of other folks on land, I’ve got
To work within – “Stu, it’s not yours,
It’s Father-God’s – its color, Rose”.

For you’re to do your business task
In land assigned, as you’ve been asked;
The boundaries of the game you play
Are there at once – there’s no delay.

For they’re of spirit-world – so flex,
With daily tasks emerging next;
They stretch and shrink to fit the time
And place the Spirit has in mind.

Okay, Holy Spirit, thanks for that.
