“Four Roads” [Reflections on Louise Penny Inspector Gimache books, Passim]

Four roads to wisdom, says Gimache,
Inspector in police – whose stash
Of wisdom seems quite bottomless –
They inter-play with great finesse.

They’re brought to surface once or twice,
But themes and sub themes quite suffice
To have us learn her point of view –
Four roads there are for me and you:

Say, “I don’t know”, don’t bluff your way;
“It’s help I need”, be bold to say;
“I’m sorry”, if indeed that’s true.
“I was mistaken” – Tough to do.

So, thank you for your books, and thought –
Four Roads to wisdom which we ought
At least to ponder on our way
Through life – lets wisdom have its say.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
