“Clutter Eats Equity” (Internet quote prompt series)

Don’t block your features, just enhance
What you have now, in home-sale dance;
Restore or render platform for
New resident – like you, before –

You moved into this residence –
Then dug a hole, and built a fence;
Put waterfall up on a hill
With Cedars, Birch up on the rill –

With terraced gardens south and north;
Expansive lawns, which ushers forth
In curving lines, bricked walkways to
Intriguing mysteries calling you.

Your shift from bush to urban-scape,
Leaves room for both, where folks can make
A home from each (or both, to wit,
If they desire a border-bit).

But cut the clutter, let folks see
The platform there, what there might be
If they were to move in today
And leave their mark, by which they’d say –

“I too have lived and loved a while;
Exuded life my way, our style…”
Until their day comes ’round at last,
Where they depart – fond memory’s passed.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
