“The Photos – To Me” [Reflections on: Berger, John and Mohr, Jean, with help from Nicholas Philbert, Another Way of Telling, NY: Pantheon Books, 1982, 308p. -section 3 continued]

To me, first go at photos seen
Laid out in chunks, as memory
Of older lady (not so real)
For memories are quite surreal.

To me, they are ingenious –
To mimic memories for us
Is quite an insight to one’s craft,
Democratized for all, at last.

I came into this town back when
A fellow vision had – U.N.
Was part of life for him as well;
From Africa – “Let people tell –

“Their stories on the local screens
Of Prairie life as it has been
Experienced – don’t hold them back”;
It’s taken time, despite attacks –

Technology, in smart-phone style,
Picked up the freight, and all the while
It puttered on, and now this tome
Has place for it to find its home.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
