“Volley – Set – Spiked – Oh Wow!” [Partial and abandoned, I believe] [Reflections on: Berger, John and Mohr, Jean, with help from Nicholas Philbert, Another Way of Telling, NY: Pantheon Books, 1982, 308p. - section 5, subsection 4]

This guy goes deep in upper-level lit –
I barely grasp – to make some sense of it,
I’ll have to take small bites and chew each one,
Until perhaps, like pix-set, I’ll be done.[]

First set (his “four”) holds spreads from from “A” to “I”
From left to right, then wanders ’round of my eye,
To fathom each small subset of his tome;
So wish me luck – as I through subsets roam.

“Set A” – the start of story lines we know –
From forest comes some dog – ho-hum, no snow?
Our mind casts ’round to set our basic stage
Of mental mix, here on his storied page.

Next detail given, door’s open, man leaves that;
No sequence here – when? Presently? Perhaps –
But shift, “past tense” (“had left”) there’s promise given –
At least for hearers – emerges as with living.

[Abandoned, and then picked up later in re-start in Costa Rica re Jean and John's book.]

Thanks Holy Spirit For This.
