“The Start Point” [Series of Reflections on David du Chemin’s Book The Soul Of The Camera - pp. 162-171] [Spanish Series Also]

In photo-work, just as in song,
Our starting point, where we be-long,
Is “I” – is “me” – Yo-soy indeed,
For it’s our take on what is seen.

Perspective, point of view, in fact,
Our soul expressed in photo-act,
Is so much us (thus far as grown),
That other folks can’t call it home.

They have a home as well, but hey!
We each approach a different way,
Which gives a richness to all work
As artist-group – so do not shirk –

The photo-op right at your door,
Or shift location; share some more
Of how you view the world right now –
Then share with us a bit of “how”.

Thanks Lord for this.
