“Golden Mean” [Reflections On Book - 100 Ideas That Changed Graphic Design Stephen Heller and Veronique Vienne - #59]

Watch for squares in printed page,
And work with them, said graphic Sage;
Like Golden mean of Parthenon,
Embed such squares in graphic song.

For rhythm and of the flow of eye
Arrange themselves – without a “Why”
At level of our conscious work,
’Till someone comments – heads than jerk –

Around to take a second glance;
Then smiles abound at this advance
In graphical design for all –
Here width as square makes page look tall.

For “Hidden” does not stop effects –
Subconsciously our blocks of text,
Together with our titles, lines,
Make overall effects sublime.

Thanks Lord for This.
