“Map” [reflection on Tim Ferris’ 13 grammatical sentences] [Spanish series]

Twelve sentences gave him his key
To any language-structure – he
Could then deduce “location now
In mall”, and thus determine how –

He’d get from zero-zero point
To fluency – for he’d appoint
Himself director of his task,
And hit it hard – like blitzkrieg-fast.

So mix that with “five stages” guy
(Of a fright, that is) – hook up the why
Of courage lost in danger’s way,
Take on that language day-by-day.

Mix in as well, mood, voice, and tense,
Aspect, which speaks to circumstance,
And you’ve system in small bits
Which conquers language, I’ll admit.

So now I’ll try that out again –
On surface skim, step around the pain;
Perfecting how you say those things;
For Princeton Prof solution brings.

Lord, thanks for these ingenious guys,
Who found a pass through mountains – wise
They are indeed in their own right;
Which helps us win this language fight.

Thanks Lord for this.
