“His Local Terms” ( ) [War – Sub Series Number One – Reflections on Timothy Snyder’s Book, On Tyranny – Poem #19 – Chapter 19]

He Uses Local Terms to Say
His piece about his local fray
The femi-nazi locals too
Used to local terms for me and you.

“You troubler of the people” said
The King to Prophet, but, we read
About that in our books and tomes
Down through the years, around our homes.

Terms “Patriot” don’t mean much here;
We “ ’Bide the magistrate”, that’s clear
From how we broke from British Queen –
Not guns, but pen and ink have been –

Our way to get things done our way;
Not perfect, but they’re here to stay;
Term “National” is foreign too,
Though sentiments are nothing new.

My guess is, Yanks will sit up straight
When words like his each conscience rake,
But sentiment? – A mixed bag too –
His flavor one from Yankee stew.

He buys the liberal load of crap,
Which weakens case – imagines that
If over half would just go home
With liberals, they could not roam.

Well, Technicolor are your dreams –
What you describe (with ample means),
Can be applied to any group –
Two decades past that was my soup.

Perhaps it’s better to reflect
On “ ‘Tight’ or ‘loose’ around your neck
Is noose for those who do just decline
To go your way, or tow your line?”

Lord, thanks for this cathartic tome,
Which well describes sick liberal home
From which I came – such arrogance
Unless addressed, halts second chance.

Thanks Lord for this.
