“Something About This War”

There’s something I don’t understand
About this war, here in this land –
Though undeclared, it rages on,
And soldiers die – one day they’re gone.

It’s strange, denied by powers that be,
As if when known, then all would see
Self-serving motives thus played out
Are drivers in this roustabout.

That book described war-fever well –
How life blinks to a living hell,
Then, blinking back, denies, moves on,
Until once more, our peace is gone.

“It’s okay, Stu, this too will pass;
The Kingdom-layer enables’ sass –
Perspective’s Mine – cut loose; let go;
For other folks still die to know.”

Thanks Lord for this.
