“Two Different Scenes” [Die Broke series #4 principle] (Luke 1:26-38)

One scene acceptance, status quo;
The other one, who’d come to know
The future lay as man forthwith,
And Jesus as the Christ – her wish?

To just obey, though thunderstruck
At what transpired – from village plucked
To play a role she’d not foreseen;
Bewildered by what just had been –

Laid out for her, “Be not afraid”
Yes, right, it seems cards were in play
Which, if played out, would change the scene
Forevermore, for mean and mean.

Meanwhile, Die-broke says live with fear;
Anticipate the end is near;
At any given time stay loose;
Don’t buy some boss’s Christmas goose.

“For nothing is impossible
With God”, said Angel Gabriel;
“For Jesus’ Kingdom will not end,
Which you, no doubt, can’t comprehend.”

“Amen” said one; “You’re on your own”,
Said other one; don’t buy a home,
But live with suitcase packed; move fast –
Outsider’s life – which cannot last.

Perhaps for Mary, up ’till then,
She was like Die-Broke, thought of when
She would be wed, and girlish things,
Like all of us when nature sings.

Then suddenly, the road went West
Instead of on to her address;
“Say what?” We ask when such affairs
Are our agenda – what compares –

To this in day to day on earth?
Well, Kingdom-layer Christ brought through worst
One could imagine – “Kid of mine?!
I say, indeed! (In end sublime).

Thanks Lord for this.
