“Greatness” (Matthew 18:1-6)
So who, O Lord, is greatest in Your Kingdom?
From whom can we seek guidance in this case?
“From children in your midst whose youth, and vigor,
And innocence, gives attitude its base.“Of course, it’s adults who provide for children,
Both bread, and bread of life to grow, mature,
But it’s a two-way street – so stop and listen,
For they will challenge what is known for sure.“They challenge ways and means, and use of power;
Their winsome smiles can melt our hearts of stone;
Forgiveness, moving on beyond the chaos,
Can lead us to hereafter’s better home.“So bear in mind you don’t have all the answers;
Each generation presses through the door
Presented to them, far beyond our reaching;
As children, they will have to press some more.”Thanks Lord for this.
