“Trump-ed”

I got my website moved to firmer ground,
Just as Dreamweaver and its ilk were found
To be beyond what income can sustain;
And, leaving, I see bigger world I’ve gained.

For like all bigness, dry-rot shows its head
Unseen for years, by that time big is dead;
Small business with its software light and tough,
Has life expectancy so short it’s rough.

United States is big, and Russia too;
With China things are different, they’re renewed;
They’ll get to here, for now they freshness bring
To commerce, culture – how they do their thing.

Trump is the messenger of Plato’s Cave –
“We’ve been deceived” will be tomorrow’s rave,
When folks wake up to see the party’s done
(They knew before, but party-time is fun).

Trump’s problem, like friend Jim long years ago,
Who mopped up mess from Student’s Council flow
Of cash the year before – “We’ll fix this up
And leave behind a balance – brace for tough.”

We all have mind-games we would rather play
Than face the music early in the day;
We wait ’till dark, then slip out quietly –
To somewhere else, denying as we flee.

Lord, as he gets prepared to lend a hand
In world of give-and-take, equip this man;
It won’t be easy, rich and poor alike
Are greedy for their share, prepared to fight –

Just like the “Middle-class” – without the poor
They’d lowest be, and that has no allure;
Without the rich, who would they blame (“That’s us –
Now at the top, Creators of the fuss”).

The “Jezebel effect” now comes to front,
As clergy and their spouses bear the brunt
Of pressure, like the tip of arrow’s flight –
Increasingly it wedges – things are tight.

Good news is, those are signs of brighter day,
When God at last will show a better way;
For bottom of the cliff brings clarity –
“ ’Twas oh so needless”, such folks say to me.

Thanks Lord for this.
