“Irrepressible Love”

On looking ’round I see so many ways
Your love pours out, O Lord, these many days –
Like bringing “Need” to “Help” when all else fails;
And standing in the gap when sin assails.

Rebellion (sin) is part of all our lives –
Hearts devious ensure all action gives
Continuance, when we have stepped beyond
The boundaries others make, lest we respond.

But life within transforms all life below –
Expands, outgrowing everything we know;
For life is irrepressible when love
Explodes upon our lives – gift from above.

And then that happy day arrives at last
When Kingdom-level invite comes – a blast
It is, for love and life now freely reign
In unrestricted outflow – in Christ’s name.

All groups need social mores to survive;
No prob – but when too tight, folks cannot thrive;
That’s when Christ’s Jubilee (Ka-boom!) arrives
To set His people free – release of lives.

Lord, when I woke I felt I’d been released
In fact, but now I sense life has increased
In me beyond the level it once was,
As love from You poured in my life – because –

It’s how You operate, in Jubilee;
It’s how You bring to life Your harmony;
It’s life poured out to us and others ’round,
Which cannot be contained, restrained, or bound.

Lord, thank You for the life You pour out to
All life we know; and for this better view
From Kingdom-layer, here, twixt earth and sky –
A place to stand, and grow, explorer the “why?”

For You’ve a purpose in and through our lives,
As we engage our tumbled world with wives;
You say, “Then action”; “Live by faith”; “Walk on”;
And give to us a savior in Your Son.

So thank You for the life and love You give;
Thanks also for the space in which to live;
For love in life, which cannot be repressed,
Exploding in our midst, so we are blessed.

Thanks Lord for this.
