“The Explorer” (Isaiah 42:15-17)

“So, where you going now, my man?
And how you doing? Think you can?
I doubt it, but I’m there with you,
In all you see, and think, and do.

“So, where you going, friend of mine?
And how you doing in your time
Of chaos, pain, uncertainty –
Keep eyes of faith and hope on Me.

“So what you say there, fearful one?
Now that your strength, resource is done –
Are you that man of cringing fear?
Or are you in Me, living clear –

“Clear of the obstacles below?
Clear of the blockages which show
Up when you’re ‘Heading for New York
To dance, and sing’ – but here trail forks –

“To left or right – ‘It can’t to be done’
Naysayers call, ‘for number one
Is there already, if you please;
So move along; get off your knees’.”

A man for You spoke (out of fear,
In hope) – “Hey, brush away those tears,
And look around, above, below –
True situation you’ll then know –

“You’re on the Kingdom-layer with Me;
Look down, stone obstacles you’ll see;
They’re real, but you’re above all that;
Move on – you’re satisfaction’s cat.

“I made you curious, you know;
It’s scary finding out the flow
Of life; it’s source; it’s blockages;
When found, there’s opened passages –

“Through which those other folks will pass,
And unbeknownst to them, they’ll ask
‘How is it we’d not seen all this
Before – I feel so heaven-kissed?’

“That is the moment you will know
That I was right in way I showed
To you; friend Stu, go find that way,
And place to bridge that gorge today.”

Lord this amazes me – I heard
Assurance in Your hope-filled word –
“Not knowing” is why I am here –
Explorer” within such fear.

So Lord, I thank You for today;
For hearing me as now I say,
All right, I will today press on,
Until ‘Today’ for me is gone.

Thanks Lord for this.
