"That Difference"  (Ezra 3:11-13; Prov.11:1)

That “value” means “what something’s worth to me” is how it works;
Two things with values diff’rent make a trade – one of the quirks
Of life for its win-win when you consider such exchange;
So long as values are in place, possessions rearrange.

Some time kids spent as dock-hands during holidays this year;
Resulted in two items, owner sought to make it clear,
“I’ve been quite blessed to have you ’round to help me in this way;
Here, take these, fix them up at home – an adult form of play.

So they can fix and trade again, or fix and use at will;
It matters not which way they go, for value lingers still;
We view the world, past, present, and our futures with this thought,
“A trade that’s meaningful all ’round” means “treasures have been bought”.

Thanks Lord for this.
