“The Cobra And The Mongoose”  [Reflections On Sun Tsu's  Art Of War is Chapter 7 #4] (John 15:1017; Prov.3:3; Isaiah 30:15)

You’re not the leader, you’re the troops,
So turn to Jesus in your groups;
For He’s the one who shows the way;
Abide in Christ to win the day.

Each day arise and ask, “Where to
Today?” And He will be with you;
Sometimes, “Sit tight, don’t breathe a bit;
Let him pass by”, and there you’ll sit.

The battle’s bigger than your scene,
So if for fighting you are keen,
Remember, battle’s won ahead
Of fight – so don’t by gain be led –

Into a dance with enemy –
Maneuvering, as you will see,
Has risks and dangers, though way seems
To your advantage, much has been –

Set up to bring on your demise;
Best heed your Leader in the skies
Who sees it all, says, “Hold”; “Now go!”
Trust He knows best – best way will show.

Maneuver’s fraught with perils great,
Both on the move and while you wait;
If you’re a mass, undisciplined,
With danger-ways you’re underpinned.

But if you ’bide in Him always,
And heed the guidance Spirit says,
You’ll make out better – go His ways
And have success as road He lays.

Thanks Lord for this.
