“It's Hard To Watch”

It’s hard to watch the early stages come
To those we love – disease its course now runs;
For life today, engaged through present choice,
Like seeds from weeds gives dandelions their voice.

Soon grass will bloom, as fields of yellow flower
Run rampant here, for green now flexes power;
Our standards set which cannot be sustained;
Now chemicals ask payment for life gained.

Our city’s set like island in the sun;
Fields stretching ’round, ag-chemicals now run
In rivers rising up from clouds of spray;
The damage done – down wind we breathed their ways.

With needles out, solution once again
Is chemical, as doctors end the pain
Of those not mad as hatters in the past –
“It’s hard to watch” Doc’s say, then do as asked.

“If you can’t fix, and numbers grow too large,
Then wipe them out”, say socialists in charge;
Though flavor shifts and varies with their scope,
This part’s the same – “Kill off when there’s no hope”.

Thanks Lord for this.
