“The Cambridge Bishop” (Ephesians 5:18-19) [Reflections On Book Powerlines by Leona Frances Choy - Chapter 14 - C.G. Moule, #7/25] (Mar/07/2016)
A T-R Bishop in a long bright gowns,
Engaged the Spirit on Cambridge grounds;
With kings and princes he dined in style;
Impact of Spirit enriched him while –He did his duties as Dean and Prof,
Wrote commentaries – food for the trough;
Saw need for letting the Spirit in,
Then to each crevice of life begin –To have its impact, and change each way
Folks do their living from day-to-day –
Like web-page loading in background while
We view what’s loaded – which makes us smile.Don’t stop it loading, for access fast;
For from that Spirit we’ll speak at last –
Songs of the Spirit, and Psalms, and songs
Pour from the Spirit – helps folks along.Communication has ways and means;
These shift from letters and books – it seems
That film and photo, bent to His sway,
Convey the Spirit in modern ways.Lord, flow Your Spirit through me this day;
Use words and pictures to have Your say;
Help me stay open, may Spirit seep
Into recesses, old ways delete.May other workers in words and pix,
Feel Spirit’s power as camera clicks;
Your guidance showing Your life within
A culture struggling to life begin.May they engage now in life with power;
Your Spirit flowing through them this hour;
Enrich their touching the lives they know,
That through their photos Your love might show.Thanks Lord for this.
