"The Snake"

We received an iPhone piece where Jamie had a snake
Down below his backyard; “It’s a Boa”, was his take;
Slithered off with dogs are aroused as they looked down below –
Other side of living there, like blizzards in our snow.

Life for all has aspects which are not so nice to see –
Surfing has its sharks, rogue waves, tsunamis which can be
Something of a blockage to one’s life beneath the sun;
Smashing ’neath the cresting wave is not a lot of fun.

Principles of operation, learned from crises past,
Part of every occupation, folklore when we’re asked;
“Stories have a currency”, McGinnis said one day,
They go viral, spread by people – seed which spreads that way.

Salt, and light, and leaven, flavors cultures of the world,
Shaping up our ways of living down amongst the swirl;
Partly wisdom God built into life back at the start,
Now infused in every aspect of which we’re a part.

Thanks Lord for this.
