"French"

It really is no question now,
The short-term is now gone;
A few times intermittent, but
I mostly get it wrong.

I get along with timers with
Their stickies saying why,
It just went off – it’s beeping
Curbing danger now – I sigh.

I press towards the curtain, like
An actor on the stage,
To finish up this poetry
With which I’m now engaged.

I fired up Rosetta Stone
For French to learn at last;
That’s fifteen months since I first saw
Such learning as a blast.

“Communicative” was the way
She taught – “Experience” –
Is how I learn things anyway,
A happy circumstance.

I think their present outlook is
A cop-out, they can’t speak
The language; hate the French; and so
Excuse their teachers weak.

But now I’m cleared to press ahead –
“Three months”, and “Fluent-U”,
Along with YouTube’s rich resource –
Success is now in view.

They say that we should use our minds
Or they will slip away;
It’s going, but my right-brain still
Might have its little say.

Thanks Lord for this.
