"Sunset" [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff re: Close Of Day]

“Sunset and evening star” my mom allowed,
“And one clear call for me,” canoe that bowed
Into the path of sunset on the lake –
A vivid memory of that time she’d make.

Though she’d not known the part it played for me,
As years went by, with drop in energy;
Too soon our sunset comes, we know day ends,
As riding up the sun-path, starlight blends.

Lord, thanks for this enchanting piece of writ,
With pictures which augment poetic drift,
Like evening on the water with our kin,
Midst crimson covers where once day had been.

Thanks Lord for this.
