"Too Young" [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff re: Cowhand]
Except the man’s too young for this –
No eyelid droops; no cloudy gaze;
Though black and white, with sky and fence,
His mind’s alert, like younger days.The dissonance – deliberate?
Is this part premature?
Like death brought closer by disease
Each season’s brief allure –Now compacted to months from years –
Disease brings death within;
While on the surface all is well,
As midlife now begins.Thanks Lord for this.
