"Request"

“Would you baptize our boy?” She asked;
Of course – have you got water?
“I mean some time with others ’round;
Their process is a bother –

“We’d have to take a course for them”;
In that I’m in agreement –
How ’bout in woodwork, crocheting?
(On Kingdom-turf an easement).

“Can you baptize?” Of course I can,
As anyone who does it,
Like nurses, if the child will die;
On Kingdom-layer we all fit.

I’m “Anabaptist” anyway –
A re-baptizing soldier;
“Apossable” to live with now,
My wife attests – just ask her.

She’s an “Epistle” (that’s the wife
Of an Apostle (joking)) –
I only joke where there is care –
At puffery I’m poking.

“At first”, my boss said long ago,
“I asked, ‘won’t he stop joking?’
Then realized you never were
Away from ‘life evoking’.”

Good news for Kingdom-life I’ve heard
Above the world’s forbidding
Me to do life here for my King –
Now freed to do my kidding.

You do not have to be like me,
But you can chat with Jesus;
He’d love to help you do your life,
Which Kingdom-layer now eases.

Thanks Lord for this.
