"Exchange" [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff re: Pants And Sleeves]

What was the lesson learned, not taught
That prickly day when grandma bought
A bag so dear for coin so small?
What take-away was there for all?

“Agree ahead?" “Bring dad on side?”
“Hop in the car, go for a ride?”
“Turn fruit to jam, thus value add?”
“Close up the gate?” (as dealer had –

That day when I had been ripped off –
He tightened screws; dilemma scoffed
By him as he made cash, “ka-ching”,
For I could little resource bring.

But, then again, I was there once –
I did not see nor our care one ounce
For point of view of busy work; –
That buck or two made me a jerk.

So going back might have its place
As we revisit our dis-grace;
But maybe we should move along,
And learn at least when moves were wrong.

Thanks Lord for this.
