"Co-op" [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff re: Leadership Race]

The patriarch (or matriarch) all thumbs, and loops, and belt,
Decides the vote for rural folk in atmosphere that’s felt;
Yes, factors on the floor are read, but that’s external made;
Just tallied there – I had not seen that part of how it’s laid.

Decisions made o’er fence and cup of coffee in the town,
Get ratified their certain ways – I had not seen the frown,
And smile, and nod, as tally-time of what transpired elsewhere,
But now I get it – Scrutineer pulls tally from the air.

Just like the market for our goods and services – the price
Must factor more than each can know if it’s to come out right;
“Command economy” can’t do that tally, nor can one,
But auction when there’s buy and sell sets price in midst of fun.

Thanks Lord for this.
