"Its Counterpoint" [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff re-Under Prairie Skies]

When love comes into lives of ones so young,
Our growth as process is not always fun;
So here, as Romeo and niece evoke
Two sides of young-love’s efforts – each remote –

The truth; authentic life; relationship;
With bonds of strength; maintaining freedom’s grip
Upon their inmost beings – delicate
At best, for fumbling hands – they’re young as yet.

The pixilated photo of a girl
There on the grass, clear sky above – yet swirl
Of clarity and clouds within her mind –
Post-love; alone; as he new freedom finds.

She’s learned a lesson; realizes self
Again – What number’s this? Perhaps the 12th –
For as we grow up into family,
Through onion-layered-tears we come to be.

Thanks Lord for this.
