"From The Heart Of Romeo"  [Reflections on Book - Right Side Up Side Down  Romeo Lemieux and Connie Bischoff]

Six years I studied Proverbs – book
Of Wisdom sayings – Scripture looked
So good each day as I returned
To get my “Wisdom fix” – I learned –

That three a day was maximum
For me – at that point I was done;
My brain quite saturated – then
By next day I could hear again.

So too with their book – photographs
And poetry – I had to laugh
At way they set it up – so cool –
You flipped it over – learning tool –

For me who thinks “Augmented Text”
For novels, poems, and the rest;
The poet started in one end;
Photographer? Flip – start again.

So half were photos – he made words;
In the other half, reverse was heard –
He wrote the pieces; she made pix –
Amazing project in the mix.

“So, meet me in the middle, miss,
And we’ll get there in spite of this
Wee setback in your healthy life,
As niece, and mother, husband’s wife”.

But even more the invite came
To me, inscribed in front with name,
“God has created man because
He likes the stories” (Talmud was –

So right in that) – to me as well –
Their book, from depths of living hell,
Said, “Meet me in the middle, Stu,
And listen – nectar’s here for you.

Three items in from poet’s side
Was quite enough – my heart was fried;
So rich these poems were for me
With pix-from Echo Land to be –

An inspiration to press on,
And photo-augment – words – for long
Indeed mix lingers in right brain,
As memory recedes for names.

Thanks Lord for this.
