“Your Loneliness”

Lord, as I now reflect on calls they’ve made
Requesting help, or ear at least, these days,
I’m struck by how we each quite lonely are,
And struggle to survive – keep house and car –

And this or that within small frame of space,
Relationships so fragile in each case;
I longed to make the Kirk a place to be,
And to become Your children – now I see –

That barriers the world likes to erect,
Are silly once this layer we select;
Climb up on; skate around; to see for real;
Then realize how great such freedom feels.

But still, such lonely hearts exist up here;
There’s something missing still, it would appear;
Please open eyes, and ears, and hearts to know
What we must do, that body-life might show.

Thanks Lord for this.
