"The Stone Rejected" (Jer. 15:15-21)

Lord, that’s amazing – how You took that stone
Just like Yourself – and turned it to a home
In which to live my days out, fittingly,
In center of the part I best not see.

For that’s the heart, the core, but written off
By holy types, its value by them scoffed;
And yet it’s all about some “Statements” made,
And what they say of hopes and dreams waylaid.

“If you will speak My words without a switch
To save your hide, or hide your saving niche,
You can perform the task of body’s mouth –
‘Be as My mouth’” – what life for Me’s about.

Lord that’s a hoot – You took rejected stone,
No value to me, coming from my home,
And made for You their cornerstone of truth,
That, being You – “Behold, all things are new”.

Thanks Lord for this.
