"A Tighter, Faster, Game"
“Cut off, cut out, and throw away the things
Which lead astray, and only trouble bring;
When actions face correction, make the shift,
Lest bends in roads or turning points are missed.Lord, life alone on Kingdom-layer it seems
Is fraught with danger, knowing what it means
To live in You, abide Your guiding word,
Through Murray’s guidance – interactive’s heard –In ways which work – but now I see as well,
I’ve active side – my second, third gift tell
Me “act”, my man, with passive voice that says
“Let go – let God”, thus in the end sing praise.Each voice has problems – choices by the score;
A mix of gifts brings inner-conflict – more,
The options rise – as to the stream we jump,
And enter into life in You; we’re pumped.Still now, I hear, “Cut back to increase fruit”;
You’ve cut me back to Scripture – so I peek
Into its pages – Wham! Your word springs up
And challenges my choices – water’s rough!And now I hear, “A tighter, faster, game
For all mankind – on Kingdom-ice – the same
For you, there Stu – the boards around the rink
On Kingdom-layer – engage – you’ll have to think –“As you press on – like hockey teams today,
Who weave and swirl, engaged in every way;
The errors, moves, which fruitless are, let go
Engage again, press on with what you know –“Which rises from your actions, also theirs –
They too engage, two teams of swirling players;
It’s all okay – press on, you’ll be okay
In me, on Kingdom ice – you’ve boards – now play!”Thanks Lord for this.
