"Eight Hours A Day"
At first my shirt was knotting up,
When I considered business – rough;
A game as e’er we tried to play –
Where temperaments are quick displayed.“I can’t do that – no how, no way;
I’d waste time – right off each day –
More software then I’d ever grasp;
It takes a team to do that task”.But then You brought my mind around
With three Venn-circles – layered ground –
A “Voice” of Holy Spirit; “Turf”;
And “Focus” for my hunger, thirst.Discernment of the Spirit’s gives
A Jubilee so people live
In freedom, after chatting up
The folks still trapped in life that’s tough.The “Turf”, of great concern for me,
Is business and economy;
While Bible is my “Focus Source” –
Providing ramps to that resource.It’s where those circles interface,
That’s where I fit by Jesus’ grace;
“Hop up on layer (the way it’s viewed
Within your context – old made new)”.Strategic statement? “Kingdom come –
Thy will in heaven, on earth be done”;
Plugged in? “Don’t worry – Kingdom seek –
As well as righteousness best keep.“Obstructions gone on Kingdom-layer,
Allows provision, answered prayer,
And interactive life for you
(Not active, passive, point of view).“So there you are, old Stu, my man –
Eight hours a day – heaven kissed – you can
Do anything your heart desires, and
In Christ, as Kingdom’s life inspires.Thanks Lord for this.
