"Sun Tsu To Here" [Sun Tsu Summary To Here] (Matt.4:8-11; 5:37; 6:9-13)

So –
Assess the odds for you and them;
Reduce the drain on resource; then
Stand back – and ask – “Another way?”
Await the chink to be displayed –

In armor – seven times around
Those city walls until it’s found;
Then draw the bow, increase the strain;
But make them form, unformed remain –

Until you see them spread about
Defensively – then without doubt
You will be able, piece by piece,
To pick them off – your force released.

That’s Sun Tzu’s process up to here;
This chapter’s words have made it clear
That we should flow as water-course;
Adapt, while formless, with resource –

Until we see what form they take –
Then “numbers” shift, for we can make
Them spread out, come to where we wish
To strike, like rock on egg – like – squish.

So how did he those kingdoms seize,
To give to Christ upon His knees
(If He should bow and worship him
As third temptation sought to bend –

Christ to those ways Sun Tzu describes,
Which works so well beneath the skies)?
Quite simple – we each just succumb –
“Thy kingdom come; thy will be done –

“On earth as in your hellish lair;
We’ll walk your ways; for war prepare;
Turn ways of universe on men,
And beat them senseless once again.”

So that’s where he got turf to give
To Christ – we gave, that we could live
Our lives as “King of Mountain”, like
We played as kids – grown – we still fight.

“Lord teach us how we ought to pray,”
They asked You back one summer day;
“Your kingdom come; Your will be done;
Keep us each safe from evil one.”

Thanks Lord for this.
