"Unifying Focus " [Sun Tsu #6-8] (Matt.12:26-32; 23:37-39; John 17:20-24; Eccl4:7-12)]

“One God; I am; as unity I live;
One single force, combined; all life I give;
One place, one uni-verse, I spoke one word –
Stepped back, made space, that gift expressed be heard.

“Inpatient he, one-third fell to his sway,
Broke unity that he might have his way;
Fragmented thus, opponent, enemy;
A fractured fraction, weaker now than me.”

“I pray, now Father, for their unity;
That they be one, as I am now in Thee;
I longed to gather – he who gathers not,
Now scatters folks who in the world still walk”.

So, in the end, though fewer we will be
It’s ten to one, because of unity;
The whole, ’gainst parts, for they can’t concentrate;
A house divided falls, for it’s too late.

Advantage shifts from those who separate be
To one who’s strength strikes few – as we can see
A three-fold cord’s not broken easily;
One slays a thousand – ten when two there be.

 For all, as one in Christ, have greater strength;
Opponent’s numbers fail to join – at length
They are controlled through use of time and place –
Deployment power prevailing in this case.

Decisive blows fulfilling your attack,
Are certain now, though numbers you still lack;
Opponents, those with whom you have to deal,
Engage; give way; outnumbered; they now reel.

When we’re constrained (when unity is lost),
The battle’s theirs, for us the greater cost;
We’re in dire straits, no certain victory;
For when fragmented, we lack unity.

Thanks Lord for this.
