"Standing Back " [Sun Tsu #6-12] (Luke 21:34; I Sam.17; Micah 6:8]

At thirty thousand feet we see a scene
We do not see from level where we’ve been –
A bigger picture – so assessing eye
Brings judgment, ways of thinking ’bout things nigh.

“Entrap the foe yet keep your movement free,
And great at war you’ll have a chance to be”;
“Create advantage”, “Make your victory”
“Achievement brought from lesser numbers seen”.

If one can’t work with huge amount of power,
What use is it? Defeat within the hour
Is fixed – advantage overwhelming now
Is being set by weaker one somehow.

So what’s the use of resource that you have –
Great knowledge, good ideas – if your path
Involves “Saul’s armor” bigger than the man –
Just watch Goliath fall, for slingshot can –

Bring down a lion, bear, or giant soul,
In hands of one whose skill achieves his goal;
Sun Tzu divides opponent through his ways
Of staying formless through the early days.

To one with might and riches more is asked
Than one who’s scant resource is soon surpassed
By mighty men here in this world of woe –
Just do your part and victory you’ll know.

A man said once, “Don’t charge too much as pay,
And do good work, you’ll have a job each day;
A server-giver outlook I would say,
Which works for them, as they in work-world play.

But underneath it touches this as well –
“Use what you’ve got, things grow, as one can tell
By looking ’round – the lesser wins the day –
By using well resource, it starts to pay.

Thanks Lord for this.
