“Can They Do That?” [#3/6 Stupefying Factors - Reflections On Book - Charles L Mee Jr. Playing God ] (Matthew chapter 26-28; Luke chapter 10)
I saw a cartoon back one day
Of circled wagons – one bloke says –
“Can they do that?!” re: arrow’s fire –
First Nations’ action raised his ire.Surprises, unexpected facts
Of life can shift how others act;
Straight-line projections – we believe
That what’s ahead is what we see.Take Herod, Pilate, Jewish mob –
“Kill Jesus off, stamp into sod
That bloke, his sheep will scatter, then
It’s peace we'll have ’round here again”.But Jesus saw a better way –
“Two pairs I’ll mentor, then I’ll say,
‘Now mentor pairs, I’ll show you how –
Then how to mentor pairs – Kapow!’“For then I’ll have some down-lines made;
They’ll kill me off – they’ll be too late –
By then, like Amway, ’cross the land
My boys will spread – outwards they’ll fan.”But even then, He rose, came back,
And rounded up the boys – they lacked
Some things – like knowledge of a life
Beyond the end of what’s in sight.Expect the worst, hope for the best;
On kingdom-layer’s life and zest;
“We win, though cost to all is high –
No cash, no friends, and then we die.”Thanks Lord for this
