“Day One”

I realized on waking up the first time on this day,
This was “day one” of checking out our concept in this way;
Our concept is, “Prosperity with Righteousness” – defined
In ways each sees, I partly know, en route we can refine.

I know not where things go from here, just I’m on Kingdom-layer –
Which means, for me, I do His will, be thus a Kingdom player;
That’s interactive all the way – do this and that for Him;
In doing so, see what comes up, and if we sink or swim.

Lord, that’s all new for me, of course, with focus not on me,
But on the layer Father made, You helped my eyes to see;
A great relief it’s been so far – three months since I first viewed
Life from perspective of the folks who wrote of life renewed.

Not just two layers of “earth” and “heaven”, but “Kingdom” layer too,
Where all could stand and do new life, grow up new ways in You.
That’s just the same as “in the world” or “in the heavens” too,
Without the problems which arise in living from those views –

“In heaven” is nice, we’re stretched by faith to holiness of heart;
The trouble is, it is too pure, too high for us at start;
Sure, we are there by faith in You; You do Your life in us;
We get direction from “North Star” but living there is tough.

“In world” is tougher, obstacles are thrown up in our path;
We try our best to live out there, Your will, but seldom last
Ten minutes ’till we fail, and quite exhausted we all get –
“Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth” – but not just yet.

For me, it’s “dancing” that I learned, became quite good as well;
Got clobbered lots; deferred each time – a life a living hell,
Until that day three months ago I saw it clear as day –
Those writers held a different view – it’s then I heard them say –

“There is a layer in between the world and Father’s heaven;
God made Christ Jesus Lord of it; from which we’d be like leaven,
Like salt, like light, and so much more, as we did life in Christ;
Compared to doing such from other layers, it’s very nice.

“It is a place where you can stand; come in and set a spell;
Be as you are as you mature – relief not added hell;”
Now all that stuff I’d tried on earth, I see as possible –
Not instantly, but as I grow – good news which now I tell –

As many folks as I can share with daily – as I wish
Someone had shared with me before my life had come to this;
For now, day one, as I prove out this concept with my sons,
We start down here ’neath zero point, and shift to having fun.

“I came that you abundant life might have”, Lord Jesus said;
“That joy might be fulfilled in you each day before your dead”.
“He’s such a happy guy”, one said one day quite long ago,
So now I am returning there, now Kingdom-life I know.

No more of moping ’round in life, no more of being stopped
By vetoes others think they hold to doing what we ought;
“To rise above the mean and mean”, “In righteousness do life”,
And let prosperity flow out to ease each other’s strife.”

Lord, this is cool – who would have thought there was a space to live,
Without restrictions piled on us, consuming grace You give;
Where we can do our lives in You – amazing – most of all,
Where we can do our life in You, reversing Eden’s fall.

Lord, as we move into this day, help us to comprehend,
Your words to us this day as bread, to feed us as You send
Us into “this and that” for You, that we might grow in You;
And help our neighbor out some way as we Your will thus do.
