"Palo Alto"
With Palo Alto as the string,
In that, a deep alureing thing,
And kite the catcher of the air,
Which seems to need your presence there –For it to work – no kite, no string,
No satisfaction will each bring;
For wind is not controlled by us,
But comes along in calm or fuss –Prosperity is not the kite,
It’s feel of pull ’gainst string is right –
Well, righteousness – “If I’m not there,
All that transpires is flowing air.“To me, its deep imperative
Is like an artist’s touch – to live
Art is not made to order, but
More, catches wind – is known as such.“You try to force it, right brain style,
And all you have is trash – but while
It can be prep’ed for, on alert
One must be always – well or hurt.“I must rise up above the clouds;
Excuses then are not allowed;
I’m kite – I’m built to hover there,
Twixt string and waft of flowing air.“Resist – I’m built to do each day,
To harbor in creative ways,
To rise up to the length of string,
Thus wealth to other players bring.“It’s not about prosperity
As greedy goal which others see,
But righteousness – productive art
Which needs me there so it can start.“Of course it needs conceptual string;
Without its length kite’s just a thing
Like spark admin brings to a shop;
With string attached, it’s life we’ve got.“Then magic moments move when air
Blows by the kite – it’s far from rare –
The enterprise springs up to life
Above both mean and mean, and strife.”So Kingdom-layer dimension adds;
God’s word to me, a bit like dad’s,
Is different, but it’s depth I feel;
To contemplate, that makes me reel.So Lord, we move on down the road
By faith – same way this row we hoed –
Help us relate to what is here;
Bring it to focus, quell each fear.Lord, only part does he now see;
As man born blind, first saw a tree –
“I see trees moving – that I see –
A second touch, I pray from Thee.Lord, it’s exciting living thus,
On Kingdom layer above the fuss
Of world played out – “Do not do that,
Or be like Satisfaction’s cat”.For here we’re free to move and sway
To background music all the day;
To feel the wind, and to do our part;
And in the light, push back the dark.Thanks Lord for this.
