“Green”

It’s just when things start looking grim our world bursts into green;
The blossomed bush in pinkish blaze; crab-apple blossoms seen
Across the street light up my life, now life seems quite okay;
There’s grass to mow, and weeds to pull – which call to me today.

Lord, it’s all good, I’ll carry on up here on Kingdom-layer;
I get the heebie-jeebies, but the trees respond to prayer
That I might move along from here, one step enough for me,
That from the place I’m going to, next step is what I’ll see.

Not sure just what it’s all about, air feels like ’fore a storm,
When atmosphere is highly charged, and whitecaps boaters warn;
I love the vigor of a storm which sweeps across the lake,
As we tuck into bed and read, for storm will soon abate.

Lord, keep us safe here in our beds as wind and rain swirl ’round;
Keep safe the sailors on the seas until their harbor’s found;
For those aloss at what to do, or where to go this night,
Help them find comfort in their place, assure things turn out right.

Thanks Lord for this.
