"It's '90' Now" (Esther 5:13-14)

It’s ‘90’now, the age that chemo stops,
And you’re left on your own to fade away;
That’s giver-talk; perceivers talking too –
“Cost-benefit”, and “You’re dead anyway”.

What does one do from devil’s point of view,
For one can see end-game that’s played and won?
Now they can pull the plug, it’s only years –
But now I see euthenics has begun.

Nice way to start day one of your career;
Your years will see that issue come and go;
To adult life a welcome, now youth’s gone;
Nice road ahead – “Please say it is not so”.

Think Mordechai and words to Esther given –
“You think you can by silence now escape?
Perhaps it’s to this moment on our road,
You have been called – for you can difference make.

It won’t come fast (like boiling of some frog),
From cold to hot decisions get us there;
“It’s at the top decisions all are made,”
You said back then – you chose, so don’t despair.

Thanks Lord for this.
