"Stay There" [Module#419]  (John 15:9-10; 1John; 2 Cor. 8 and 9)

If someone gives you shelter from a rainstorm on the street,
Stay in that shelter, don’t go out to splash your rubbered feet;
“The Father gave His love to me, so I stayed in that love;
I love you also, stay in that, in Kingdom-layer above”.

You’d think we’d get it, with the storm a swirling ’round our ears;
But no, we’d rather venture out, then wonder, “Why the tears?”
Christ stayed within the Father’s love by doing His commands;
Same holds for us within His love – live Kingdom-layer’s demands.

“My yoke is easy, burden light,” with that I do agree –
Like riding bike on hard-top road, not beach beside the sea;
The lack of obstacles in life are what I value most,
As I find I’m on Kingdom-layer, and Jesus is the host.

Take “giving” as Paul speaks of it in Second Corinth tome –
He harkens back to Israel, when former slaves fled home,
And wandered in the wilderness, collected manna-food –
Each filled their jar then helped the rest – enough was gained by noon.

So Kingdom-life allows us to do life on earth with class –
We do the Father’s will in Christ, sometimes it makes a splash;
But that is how the fragrance works with others drawn as well –
The fragrance of our brokenness is how we good news tell.

Lord, thank You for this day ahead, and for this Kingdom-layer;
Your people ’round the world step out as growing Kingdom-players;
Give us Your grace and guidance here in this piece of Your turf;
Encourage us to take a breath, and seek Your Kingdom first.

Thanks Lord for this.
