"A Quick Trip" [Module#409]  (John 14:28-29)

The folks who get the Peace Prize, zip over and return,
Reminded me here of Jesus’ first Easter weekend’s turn;
For Peace Prize holds no candle to what transpired that day,
And years are named since Jesus began to live our way.

Except He had the Kingdom to live in all the while;
Invited all to join Him and change their living style;
The Kingdom was His Father’s, but He knew how to live
Within its precincts, happy, good news to neighbors give.

There was a coronation of Jesus when He died,
Just like His little story He told when still alive;
The Father made Him Lord of His Kingdom here on earth,
Christ came back Easter morning and turned our pain to mirth.

So now I see the Kingdom as layer over world;
A place we get perspective, where others have no hold,
So we are freed to action, belief, and words we say
As subjects in God’s Kingdom, we live a better way.

Not to better in our beings, but better as in road
That’s paved – a superhighway wherever we would go –
No potholes as in Brandon, no side roads crossing o’er,
Just freed from blocks and stop signs – good roads and so much more.

The government of Jesus is what we’re looking for;
He’s come to clean the mess up, He knocks on every door –
“Do you aspire to freedom, no more of being stopped?
Well, come up on the layer of acetate and walk”.

Oh sweet relief! Much better! A place to come and grow;
Oh sweet relief in Jesus that we His mind can know;
Oh sweet relief for all who might wish to grow with us –
We are not perfect people, just eased from needless fuss.

So, Lord, today is Thursday – the week’s just flying by;
Spring sun is rising or us,  CAVU the sky;
Be with us in Your Kingdom as we discern it’s ways,
And show us all more features as we live out our days.

Thanks Lord for this.
