"Non-Verbal Communication" [Module#379]  (John 12:49 and 50b)

Folks read our lives non-verbally,
Like how we live in family;
For kin are like a tree trunk, branch,
Or twigs on which fruit grows by chance.

Or not, for in some families,
Resource is transferred to some need
Or other – not seen to make fruit
Which one can sell, or trade for loot.

Unless the tree is unified,
(Split-off resource, diversified),
Not much remains to do much good,
So failure’s mostly understood.

Now from the view of Kingdom, come
Twixt earth and heaven, I sense that some
Of this is dealt with in this way,
As Jesus, Lord of life, holds sway.

For now priorities emerge,
And useless “needs” we find submerged
In values far beyond the plain
Of worldly push and shove for gain.

Lord, as we start this journey now,
Of learning Kingdom-life, and how
You set this place for us to grow,
Fulfill each life – help us to know –

Your ways and means, desires, and hopes
For kin, and selves, and neighbor-folks –
Reach into each and every life,
Fulfill each one with heaven’s light.

Thanks Lord for this.
