"Life On The Layer" [Module#357]  (Luke 21:37-38)

In layered-life of Jesus’ time
I get a glimpse of life that’s mine;
When opposition had its sway
He carried on, no blocked-up way.

So too with me as life rolls on –
God gets to pass His word along
Through us as we on layer live,
And speak His words as life we give.

For He’s with us a way beyond
The blocks folks make from earth they’re on,
Which lets us live at Christ’s command,
And feed their lives with food at hand.

I re-present folks’ lives to them,
With context changed – set free again
To try another tack in life;
Set better sails in stormy nights.

Lord, this Good Friday just ahead,
We see You killed, Your project dead;
We see Your wounds, friends gone away –
So much like life for us today.

And yet we also Kingdom see
In You who lived that life, that we
Might also rise to Kingdom-layer –
Remaining still in You a player.

Lord, I’m about to cross a line –
One hundred modules left as mine
To shift to poems all can read,
Reflecting on Your life in me.

To persevere while life goes on,
Made possible as poet’s song
Expresses what is in and out,
Is part I play without a doubt.

So, Lord, I pray for grace today
To on Your Kingdom-layer stay
In You, and You in me, of course,
As Father shares with us resource.

Thanks Lord for this.
