"First Encounter" [Module#365B] (John 12:31-32; 1 Cor.15:24-28)

When I look back I see
Encounter – God and me –
At lake at age of twelve,
My life sloped out of hell.

A bad road I was on,
But then You came along;
Said, ‘Hi’, and brought me peace,
And now I see, release –

Released to shift above
To double positive,
From errors of my ways –
So much improved my days.

Now I see even more –
I bought the Kingdom, for
That’s when I opted in,
To life in Christ begin.

Then on the Kingdom-layer
I was in fact put there;
I see it now not then –
I had to turf defend.

But now I see quite well,
There’s earth, and heaven, and hell;
But Kingdom-layer too,
And that’s a better view.

For now I don’t defend
My turf – I’m free to bend
To this and that, my strength,
Matured in You, at length.

I’m still involved down there,
But this cannot compare;
For free I am to talk,
My road’s no longer blocked.

Lord, thanks for this today;
I see Your better way;
I learned as I grew up,
No Kingdom seen was tough.

But here we can begin
To help those bound in sin;
Lord, thanks for patient ways,
Throughout maturing days.

Thanks Lord for this.
