“Day Ten” (Matt. 20:29; )[Module #266]

“Day ten” – where Andrew Murray laid
It out for me – heard what he’d said –
That interactive life in Christ
Is possible, and could suffice –

To help me move from where I lay
By curbside begging night and day
Like Bartimaeus, blind from birth –
Such blindness was for him the worst –

For it was blockage to a life
Lived out with others – children, wife –
“I want to see”, he said that day,
When Christ said He could clear the way.

Christ asked him, “Are you in this too?”
By verb he used – that part was new
To me, and opened up a way
For me to view each dawning day.

Now interactive life for me
Became legit – new way to be
In Christ, here on this Kingdom-plain
Engaging life in world again.

I look back now to Giver-gift
When seen in me – created rifts
Which played out on the family turf
For decades – shunning did its worst.

But I determined at that time
To conquer blindness which was mine;
“You willing to live out what’s found
And process live ’till footing’s sound?” –

You asked me then; my mentor said,
“Stay quiet, learn, respond as led
By Spirit, don’t provoke their wrath
Until you’re stronger, then when asked –

To give account for faith you hold,
Or hopeful outlook – making bold
Your different way you live your life,
Ease back, it all will work out right.”

Lord, now the Kingdom insight here
Is helpful, though it’s still not clear
How it fits into other’s thought –
“Relax, friend Stu, for you have walked –

Right into life on different plain;
In Me it will come clear again;
Stay interactive as you live –
I’ll show you how to sight now give.

“For this and that kind word or touch
Will bring relief, though cost be much
More than some other folks would pay
For what I’d have one do or say.”

Lord, in this incident I see
With Kingdom-insight given me,
How Echoland is healed as well –
All cultures now released from hell.

I see I do not have to tote
Such problems – just as You once spoke
To Bartimaeus – “Active willing be
To do – and leave the rest to Me.”

Thanks Lord for this.
