“Lazarus – what’s for lunch?”

Can’t eat cost for lunch each day,
Thinking life will somehow pay
For itself cut off from life,
Eating costs puts things aright.

Then folks must engage as well –
Daily life need not be hell;
Rather, powered by life from Christ,
Folks excel, things flip up right.

“I’m the resurrection”, Christ
Said one day, “and I’m the life –
Resurrection of the dead;
Life for those who would be led”.

That’s the life of which I speak;
That’s the power when we are weak;
That’s new life when all is lost –
Life in Him when we eat cost.

No, it’s not a way of life –
Rather, way to life, His light
On disasters we engage,
Prancing on life’s little stage.

Some see all as guys named, “Bob” –
Car mechanics – with a job
Keeping others on the road;
No, but we do bear our load –

Ours the task of fitting men,
Women, children, so we bend
Shoulder to the wheel at that –
Helping them to do their tasks.

Christ got this guy on the road,
Back to life – pick up his load;
Resurrection’s to your task,
Living life in Christ – as asked.

Thanks Lord for this.
