“Lazarus – Lead Kindly Light”
External light lights up the day,
By it the world has lost its way;
Internal light lights for full days,
And by its light we walk His ways.“Lead Kindly Light”, a hymn we loved
To sing at night, light from above
In tiny churches, winter’s night,
Dim lamps, warm furnace – awesome sight.While outer world swirled ’round with storms,
We cozy were, by furnace warmed;
So many instances of place
Come to my mind – such pleasant taste.Lord in this winter’s frigid place,
Folks struggle here, for human race
Is living life twelve hours lit,
Half-light it knows, and walks by it.A place of danger, challenge, fright,
For all mankind by day or night;
I pray for peace within, without
All of our lives – here and about –Our global village – wholeness reign
For all mankind – the halt, the lame,
The blind, the deaf, who’s failing health
Inhibits quest for greater wealth.Lord as we now move on from here,
Lift from our hearts all trace of fear;
Firm be our stance here and above,
At once, expressions of Your love.Thanks Lord for this.
