"Lazarus - His Glory Seen" [Module #247] (John 11:40; Ch. 14-17)

O Lord, Your glory, seen at least this night
As you called forth old Lazarus – a fright
To look at, all wrapped up in swaddling clothes,
And several stone of spice, like aloes.

O no, it wasn’t that, but much the same;
You called us forth, said we should not remain
All bound, and gagged, and prepped to hit the grave,
But rather, be the church, our world to save.

We’d come to feel despair, our aches and pains
Came to the fore, though hope in You remained;
At last we hit our wall (financial crunch),
Saw it was time to work, not time for lunch.

Through prayer-dynamics You have made a way
For us to be reigned in, when gone astray;
Your gifts to us accepted when we see,
In prayer we have believed we have received.

You ask us, Lord, “What would you have Me do?
Where you’re involved, so I can work with You”;
Lord, as we start to move, like Lazarus –
Phase two of life – please pour Your grace on us.

Thanks Lord for this.
