“Sub-Cultural Quagmire” [Module # 212] (Luke 13:35)

Sub-cultures in society
A quagmire are, and we all see
In daily life, although not seen
As source for much of what has been.

Third-culture-kids, there’s tubs of them,
Of childhood cultures they’re a blend;
That’s over and against their gifts,
A quagmire – base of many rifts.

Lots think we superstitious are,
And they are not – clear thinking, far
Beyond their years in wisdom’s ways –
Adhering to what “science” says.

I yawn with boredom at their tripe;
Clear-headed? Clarity of sight?
No more than us whose faith is “Yes
There is a God”, and so confess.

Their faith says, “No, I don’t believe
In God behind the world we see”;
But both are faiths – for no-one knows –
Both walk by faith with watered toes.

But what I hear in what’s said here
Is, “What you see will not be clear
To you unless you recognize
It’s from our God that blessings rise –

“Through us to you; it’s not just us,
But Christ appearing in the muss,
Through many who’ve aligned with Him –
That is the place where sight begins.”

Thanks Lord for this.
